Visit the State Hostel Portal and apply now. shp.karnataka.gov.inState Hostel Portal (SHP) is an initiative brought up by the Government of Karnataka to ease the process of applying for Pre matric (students studying in class 5th to 10th) and Post matric (students studying in the class above 10th, Graduation and Post graduation) hostels. With the best usage of technology State Hostel Portal allows students to apply easily through online.Various Departments like Social Welfare Department, Backward Classes Welfare Department, Department of Minority Welfare and Tribal Welfare Departments has invited application for the admission of post matric hostels for Scheduled Tribes Students. July 15th will be the last date to apply online.All the students who are applying for the admission of  Post matric hostels, should have their SSP Student Account and need to provide the same in the Hostel Application.Here are the list of required documents

• Caste RD number
• Income RD number
• University Registration Number
• College Study Certificate
• Marks Card
• Contact Address

Hostel Allotment will be done based on the priorities selected by the students and the criterias followed by the Departments. Students should download the Hostel Sanctioned Acknowledgement and get it signed from the school or college and get admitted to the hostel.
